<p>She is an active member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American College of Surgeons.  In addition, she is currently serving as a consultant to the Women in Otolaryngology (WIO) Section of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and has been selected to serve on the Board of Governors Socioeconomic and Grassroots Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.</p>
<p>Dr. Silver has authored many peer-reviewed articles in the field of otolaryngology, including articles published in Laryngoscope, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Archives of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and JAMA, and she has presented at numerous regional and national meetings, including the Annual Academy Meeting of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology.  At Harvard, she was the recipient of the Jeffrey P. Harris Award for excellence in research.</p>
<p>Dr. Silver&#8217;s clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery, treatment of sinus disorders, diseases and surgery of the ear as well as pediatric otolaryngology. She is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish.</p>

<p>Board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Apicella focuses on minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery, management of sinus disease, head and neck surgery, sleep-disordered breathing, diseases of the ear and pediatric otolaryngology. She is an Assistant Attending physician at several New York City hospitals including Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Vincent&#8217;s Hospital. She is also an Associate Attending at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx where she is involved in the education of students and residents.</p>

<p>An accomplished medical writer, Dr. Burnett co-authored the chapters titled &#8220;Evaluation of Neck Masses&#8221; and &#8220;Small Nasal Defects&#8221; in Textbook of Primary Care Medicine and Management of Facial Cutaneous Defects. He was also guest editor of an issue of Facial Plastic Surgery; he also contributed an article titled &#8220;Outcomes Research in Facial Plastic Surgery&#8221; to that issue.</p>
<p>As a medical student (confirm) at NYU, Dr. Burnett launched NYU School of Medicine&#8217;s African Medical Textbook Project, which aimed to provide African medical schools and libraries with new and used science textbooks. During the four years that he directed the program, more than 14,000 much-needed textbooks were sent to medical institutions in Liberia, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. The ongoing program is now a joint venture of the NYU School of Medicine, U.S. State Department, textbook publishers, and corporate philanthropists. In 1992, Dr. Burnett won the NYU President&#8217;s Award for Volunteerism and Community Service. Two years later he was awarded the Alex Rosen Award for Excellence in Medicine and Humanities.</p>

<p>In addition to his private practice work, Dr. Pincus is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at New York Medical College and a Lecturer at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Earlier in his career, Dr. Pincus was Vice Chairman at New York Medical College, Director of the Department of Otolaryngology at New York&#8217;s Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, and Director of the Head and Neck Service at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He has extensive teaching experience.</p>
<p>Dr. Pincus is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The American Rhinological Society, and the American Society for Head and Neck Surgery, as well as a Diplomate with the American Academy of Otolaryngology &#8211; Head and Neck Surgery. He is currently an active member in numerous professional associations, including the American Broncho-esophagologic Association; Physicians for Social Responsibility; Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children; and Association of Physicians in AIDS Medicine.</p>
<p>Dr. Pincus has authored more than 40 articles and book chapters in the field of otolaryngology and shared his insights in presentations before dozens of prestigious professional organizations and medical staffs. <p>Dr. Lane Krevitt is a board certified Otolaryngologist &#8211; Head and Neck Surgeon, who specializes in Head and Neck Oncology Surgery, including Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. He is the director of Head &amp; Neck Surgery, Thyroid and Parathyroid disease at the New York Otolaryngology group. He received his undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Boston and his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his Internship in General Surgery and Residency training in Otolaryngology &#8211; Head and Neck Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.  Dr. Krevitt also completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Endocrine Surgery (Thyroid and Parathyroid) at Montefiore Medical Center, under the direction of Dr. Carl Silver, M.D., a pioneer in the field of Head &amp; Neck Surgery and Laryngology.</p>

He has an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Instructor and member in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, at Beth Israel Medical Center, Manhattan campus, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Castle Connelly Guide has recognized Dr. Krevitt as one of New York&#8217;s leading Otolaryngologists for many years. He has also consistently been included in Super Doctors, as seen in the New York Times Magazine. He was also included in the &#8220;Best Doctors&#8221; edition in New York Magazine in 2010. <p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-322" title="Dr Scott Gold MD" src="http://nyogmd.com/cms/files/dr-scott-gold-md.jpg" alt="" width="90" height="108" />Scott Gold, M.D., one of New York&#8217;s premiere otolaryngologists and a founder of the New York Sinus Center in Manhattan, specializes in sinus disease and minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery.</p>
<p>Dr. Gold received his M.D. degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, where he is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology. He completed his residency training in General Surgery and Otolaryngology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Gold was formerly Chief of Otolaryngology at Beth Israel Medical Center, North Division.</p>
<p>Dr. Gold has been recognized numerous times by New York magazine and Castle Connelly Medical LTD as one of the New York area&#8217;s leading otolaryngologists and sinus specialists. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.</p>
<p>An active lecturer, Dr. Gold has presented before many prestigious medical bodies. He has organized and taught at several postgraduate endoscopic sinus surgery courses for Otolaryngologists. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the New York Medical Society, the American Rhinological Society and The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.</p>
<p>Dr. Gold is an attending physician at major New York teaching hospitals, including Beth Israel Medical Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center and St. Vincent&#8217;s Medical Center.</p>

Heche, AuD is a specialist in voice and swallowing disorders.   She has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of vocal disorders in the professional and non-professional voice user.   She works with musicians and vocalists on the education, prevention and treatment of hearing loss and voice disorders. Her experience includes work with hearing impairments, vestibular/balance related disorders, and patients with head trauma, head/neck cancer, strokes and neurological impairments.   She is also a NYS licensed and Board Certified Doctor of Audiology, specializing in hearing and balance related disorders.<br />
Dr. Heche herself has professional experience in acting and voice.  Originally schooled in musical theatre, Melissa has recently branched out to include contemporary and pop music as well as cabaret-style performances to her repertoire.  She trains at the Singer’s Forum under the direction of Eric Michael Gillett. Melissa is honored to be included as a participant in the Metropolitan Room’s Metrostar Talent Challenge and brings her many talents and skills to the New York Voice Center.</p>
