Doctor Neil Sperling is the Director of NYOG’s Hearing & Balance Center and of its specialized Tinnitus Center. Dr. Sperling graduated with honors from New York Medical College. He completed his post-graduate residency in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and a Fellowship in Otologic surgery and research at the Minnesota Ear Clinic and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
In addition to his work at NYOG’s Hearing & Balance Center, Dr. Sperling serves as Medical Director of the Cochlear Implant Program at Long Island College Hospital and is Director of Otology and Associate Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Sperling has co-edited five textbooks, authored over 20 medical articles and numerous textbook chapters. He has been elected to fellowship in the American Neurotology Society and the New York Otologic Society. He has served on prominent national professional committees, including the Implantable Hearing Devices Sub-Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the committee on applicants for The American College of Surgeons. He has been recognized as one of New York’s best doctors by New York Magazine and has repeatedly been ranked among the best physicians in the New York Metro region by Castle and Connelly Medical Ltd.
Dr. Sperling’s special interests include otosclerosis, hearing loss, Meniere’s disease and implantable hearing devices.
