Melissa E. Heche, AuD is a specialist in voice and swallowing disorders. She has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of vocal disorders in the professional and non-professional voice user. She works with musicians and vocalists on the education, prevention and treatment of hearing loss and voice disorders. Her experience includes work with hearing impairments, vestibular/balance related disorders, and patients with head trauma, head/neck cancer, strokes and neurological impairments. She is also a NYS licensed and Board Certified Doctor of Audiology, specializing in hearing and balance related disorders.
Dr. Heche herself has professional experience in acting and voice. Originally schooled in musical theatre, Melissa has recently branched out to include contemporary and pop music as well as cabaret-style performances to her repertoire. She trains at the Singer’s Forum under the direction of Eric Michael Gillett. Melissa is honored to be included as a participant in the Metropolitan Room’s Metrostar Talent Challenge and brings her many talents and skills to the New York Voice Center.
