NY Voice Center FAQ - New York Otolaryngology Group

Who will be performing the tests and treatment?

You will likely see both an otolaryngologist and a speech-language pathologist at the NY Voice Center, who collaborate with you to develop a plan specific to your needs and goals.

How long is a session?

A visit with the otolaryngologist is typically between 15 to 30 minutes. Sessions with the speech-language pathologist take 30-45 minutes. Therapy and speech training is typically scheduled 1-2 times per week, and typically lasts from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the concern.

Does my insurance cover everything?

Contact your insurance company to inquire about coverage of otolaryngology and speech therapy visits. Our otolaryngologists participate with many area insurance plans. If our services are not directly covered by your insurance plan, we will be happy to provide any necessary documentation required by your insurance company for independent reimbursement.

How do I make an appointment?

Call the NY Voice center at our East Side office at 212-889-8575 and tell us about your concerns. Our schedulers will arrange a first visit with the appropriate professional.
